BRAZING
Previously, for technical reasons, CBN could not be brazed directly to the host insert. Due to this lack of brazing strength the disposable type tended to break easily. Mitsubishi Carbide have made advancements to the brazing technique which enables CBN to be brazed directly to the insert. Thus, the brazing area and strength have increased and the CBN blank is much stronger. It is also suitable for high speed cutting because the insert now absorbs more of the heat generated.

HONING
There are now other cutting edge horning types available as standard for specific applications.
Type F For stable continuous cutting.
Type G For general purpose cutting. (Including light to medium interrupted cutting).
Type GS For general purpose cutting (Including light to medium interrupted cutting), but more suited to preventing burrs and reducing chatter.
Type T For medium to heavy interrupted cutting.
For General Purpose Turning (G HONING, GS HONING)

G and GS Honing are recommended for a broad range of stable cutting applications from continuous to medium interrupted cutting. Each tool can be used for a variety of purposes and also can be combined with each other.

FEATURES OF NEW PETIT CUT
POWERFUL PETIT PRICE
  • Excellent Brazing Strength
With the introduction of our new brazing technology, NEW PETIT CUT is now twice as strong as conventional PETIT CUT.
  • Improved Performance
Two types of honing are available. One is suitable for increasing performance during continuous cutting and the other for improvements on interrupted cutting.
  • Wider Application Range
These two technical improvements result in increased PETIT CUT stability and widen the application range to high speed and interrupted machining.
  • Economical
A small insert with prolonged life is one of the main contributing factors towards reducing tool costs.
  • Disposable Type
The cost of the NEW PETIT CUT insert is comparable to the cost of regrinding conventional style CBN inserts. Eliminating the loss of geometric integrity associated with regrinding.

LINE UP THE WIPER-INSERT SERIES

With the addition of the wiper-insert series, the "New Petit" inserts retain their high speed machining capability, while improving the finish of the machined surface.

Advantages of Inserts with Wiper
  1. Reduced manufacturing time with high feed rate that leads to higher efficiency.
  2. Improved finished surface roughness of the machined work with the wiper.
  3. Surface roughness is stable even when machining for a long time and longer tool life is achieved.
Prevents the back force from increasing to the minimum by applying an optimal configuration for the wiper to respond to
a broad range of machining.

MULTI-CORNER TYPE INSERTS

Economical multi-corner type inserts are available for MBC010 and MB8025. The stamp on the upper side of the insert makes it easy to recognize the number of the cutting edge corners.

10-INSERTS PACKS

Two types of packs for MB8025 Multi-corner type inserts, pack of single insert and a pack of ten inserts, are available. If you use many inserts, we recommend ten-insert packs to save storage space.

(Note) An order quantity of less than 10 inserts contained in the "10-insert" package is allowed. Please specify order quantity to be included in the "10-insert packs".
