| BRAZING |
| Previously, for technical reasons, CBN could not be brazed directly to the host insert. Due to this lack of brazing strength the disposable type tended to break easily. Mitsubishi Carbide have made advancements to the brazing technique which enables CBN to be brazed directly to the insert. Thus, the brazing area and strength have increased and the CBN blank is much stronger. It is also suitable for high speed cutting because the insert now absorbs more of the heat generated. | |
